Job summary

Gallagher based in Dublin, Ireland, invites an Account Director to manage and grow a portfolio of commercial insurance clients. You will oversee renewals, alterations, and claims, while guiding Account Executives and strengthening trusted client relationships to deliver tailored insurance solutions.

With CIP qualification and 5+ years in commercial insurance, you will communicate effectively, negotiate terms with insurers, and ensure regulatory compliance while contributing to a collaborative

Qualifications

• Minimum CIP qualification with progress toward MDI or ACII.
• At least 5 years' experience in commercial insurance.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build client relationships.
• Positive, adaptable attitude with the ability to embrace change.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Strong technical/product knowledge with excellent negotiation skills.

How you'll make an impact

As an Account Director, you'll play a pivotal role in managing and growing a portfolio of commercial insurance clients. You'll:

• Oversee client insurance requirements, including renewals, mid-year alterations, and claims handling, ensuring all processes are followed.
• Provide expert guidance to Account Executives and support them in managing client relationships.
• Build long-term, trusted relationships with clients by understanding their needs and delivering tailored insurance solutions.
• Negotiate with insurers to secure the best coverage and terms for clients.
• Drive upselling and cross-selling opportunities to meet income retention and acquisition targets.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental goals and ensure exceptional customer service.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and maintain high-quality file records.

About you

Here's what you'll bring to the role:

• CIP qualification as a minimum, with progress towards MDI or ACII.
