Job summary

Talbot Hotel Wexford, part of the Talbot Collection, is seeking an Accommodation Assistant for a part-time, on-site role in Wexford, Ireland. The role reports to the Accommodation Manager and includes occasional laundry duties.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel accommodation is desirable but not essential.
• Ability to communicate clearly with guests in English.

Responsibilities

• Servicing guest bedrooms including bathrooms and corridors.
• Interact with guests politely and make them feel at home.
• Maintain hotel standards and ensure work aligns with them.
• Keep corridors clean of trays and linen.
• Work in a neat, efficient manner at all times.
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
• Handle guest and company property with care.
• Work as part of the team and assist others as needed.
• Carry out public area cleaning duties when required.

Talbot Hotel Wexford, part of the Talbot Collection, are currently recruiting for an Accommodation Assistant to join our team. This is a part-time position. The Accommodation Assistant will report to the Accommodation Manager.The Accommodation Assistant will be required to assist in the Laundry on occasion.

Main Duties:

• The servicing ofguest bedrooms to include the bathroom and corridor areas;
• To interact with guests in a polite and friendly manner, making them feel at home;
• To be fully aware of the standards required by the hotel and to ensure all work carried out is in line with these standards;
• To ensure that the corridors are kept clean of trays and linen;
• To work in an efficient clean and tidy manner at all times;
• To be aware of health and safety procedures, ensuring that rules and regulations are adhered to at all times;
• To use care when handling all guests property, company property and materials;
• To work as part of a team at all times and assist others as required;
• To carry out public area duties as required;

The successful candidate must have:

• Previous experience working in the accommodation department of a 4* hotel is desirable but not essential;
• Laundry experience a distinct advantage;
• Communicative level of English;
• Flexible and available to work weekends;
