Job summary

Hodson Bay Hotel in Athlone, Co. Westmeath, Ireland, is seeking an Accommodation Assistant to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness across the hotel. The role requires flexible availability from Monday to Sunday and a friendly, professional approach to guests.

As part of the Accommodation Team you will clean bedrooms and bathrooms, tidy public areas, and assist with deep cleaning tasks. Training will be provided and previous housekeeping experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel cleaning/housekeeping experience is preferred.
• Must be energetic, customer focused and should possess excellent communication skills.
• Flexible availability including weekends and holidays may be required.

Responsibilities

• Clean guest bedrooms and bathrooms to high standards.
• Clean public areas to an excellent standard.
• Undertake regular deep cleaning tasks.
• Restock and maintain trolley daily.
• Manage all guest requests promptly and efficiently.
• Ensure checklists are completed to a high standard.
• Participate in departmental training.
• Work as part of the Accommodation Team.
• Maintain knowledge of standards within the accommodation department.

As Accommodation Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the comfort and satisfaction of our guests by maintaining the highest standard of cleanliness throughout our hotel.

Key Responsibilities:

• To have a thorough knowledge and understanding of all standards of performance and delivery within the accommodation department
• To participate in Departmental training
• To work as part of the Accommodation Team
• Cleaning of guest bedrooms and bathrooms to an excellent standards
• Cleaning of public areas to an excellent standard
• Undertake regular deep cleaning tasks
• Restock and maintain trolley on daily basis
• Manage all guest requests in a timely and efficient manner
• Making sure that all checklists are completed to an excellent standard

The ideal candidate for this position:

• Previous hotel cleaning/housekeeping experience is preferred
• Enjoy working as part of a team
• Always maintain a professional image through appearance
• Must be energetic, customer focused and should possess excellent communication skills.
• Should also have the ability to work well under pressure.
