Job summary

Sheraton Athlone Hotel in Athlone, Co. Westmeath, is seeking an Accommodation Porter for a hands-on, physical role. The position offers shifts between 9am and 6pm, with weekday and weekend coverage, and a supportive team environment that values guest comfort and cleanliness.

Responsibilities include managing linen stores, assisting with furniture movement, and ensuring spotless public areas, while following safety procedures and delivering excellent guest service.

Qualifications

• A can-do attitude and willingness to help wherever needed.
• Good level of physical fitness.
• Basic English language skills (written and spoken).
• Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage, but training will be provided.

• Handle linen deliveries and manage inventory.

• Ensure corridors and public areas are tidy and free of obstructions.

About the Role

As an Accommodation Porter, you’ll play a vital part in ensuring our hotel is welcoming, comfortable, and spotless for every guest. This is a hands-on, physical role that requires strength, stamina, and a positive attitude.

Your key responsibilities will include:
