At a glance

A well-established Irish precision engineering manufacturer is looking for an experienced CNC machinist to run 3-axis milling machines in a busy, quality-driven workshop. You’ll own the job from setup to inspection, and you’ll be part of a close team that values accuracy and continuous improvement.

Parts are deburred and finished to standard, and you’ll keep production and quality records accurate.

You’ll also carry out routine machine checks, keep your area clean and safe, follow all company safety, quality and manufacturing procedures, and work closely with the production, engineering and quality teams.

  • A track record of holding tight tolerances with consistent quality
  • Good problem-solving and fault-finding skillsA methodical, detail-focused approach
  • Reliability, punctuality and a positive, willing attitude
  • Good communication, working independently or in a team, and meeting deadlines
  • A strong commitment to health and safety
  • CNC programming or program editing experience
  • Knowledge of Fanuc, Heidenhain, Siemens, Mazatrol or similar controls
  • CAM software experience
  • Experience machining aluminium, stainless steel or other engineering materials
  • A background in precision engineering, medical, aerospace, automotive or similar manufacturing
