12-Month Procurement & Supply Chain Lead (Renewables)

Job summary

Elgin is seeking a Procurement & Supply Chain Manager for a 12-month fixed-term Maternity cover, based in Dublin or London. You will lead procurement planning, run end-to-end tenders for EPC and equipment, and coordinate with Engineering, Legal and Finance to ensure aligned governance and supplier performance.

You will drive supplier engagement, negotiate complex contracts, and maintain robust procurement records while mentoring junior team members in a fast-paced renewable energy environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field is required.
• Experience in renewable IPP or capital-project environments.
• Experience procuring construction services and major equipment.
• Leadership in competitive tenders and complex EPC/ICP agreements.
• Strong knowledge of renewable energy contracts and project interfaces.
• Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
• Willingness to travel and hold a valid driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement planning and contracting strategies for assigned projects.
• Manage end-to-end tender processes for EPC, ICP, equipment supply and related services.
• Coordinate input from Engineering, Development, Legal and Finance for governance.
• Lead or support negotiations of complex agreements with a focus on bankability and risk.
• Develop supply chain strategies and roadmaps for key technology categories.
• Monitor supplier capacity, lead times, price trends and geopolitical risks.
• Build relationships with tier-1 contractors and suppliers through regular updates.
• Provide procurement input to business cases and financial models.
• Produce procurement status reports, market outlooks and tender recommendations.
• Support contract implementation and handovers to project delivery teams.
• Coordinate workload across the Procurement team and mentor colleagues.
• Maintain governance controls and auditable procurement records.
