Job summary

Mane Contract Services in Ireland seeks an experienced Commercial Lead to own the commercial strategy and performance for our Power & Renewables business unit operating across Ireland and the UK.

You will lead the commercial function across the full project lifecycle, from opportunity assessment and tendering through to contract execution, delivery and final account settlement, developing strategies and governance.

Qualifications

• Degree in a related engineering or commercial discipline.
• Significant experience in a senior Commercial Management, Quantity Surveying, or commercial leadership role.
• Experience in power, energy, utilities or infrastructure projects, with renewables experience desirable.
• Proven track record managing commercial performance across multiple projects.
• Extensive knowledge of construction contracts, commercial negotiations, risk management, cost control and final account procedures.
• Demonstrated experience leading and developing commercial teams.
• Strong understanding of project financials, forecasting, margin protection and cash flow management.
• Willingness to travel regularly to offices and project sites across Ireland and the UK.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all commercial activities across the Power & Renewables Business Unit.
• Develop and implement commercial strategies aligned with wider business objectives.
• Review and negotiate contract terms, ensuring appropriate commercial protections are in place.
• Oversee commercial performance across the full project lifecycle, from tender through final account.
• Monitor project costs, budgets, forecasts, variations and cash flow, providing clear reporting.
• Work with Operations, Engineering, Planning and Quantity Surveying teams to maintain cost control and commercial discipline.
• Develop strategic client relationships and framework agreements.
• Lead, mentor and develop the Business Unit's commercial team.
