Job summary

Selong Selo Resort & Residences seeks an experienced Wellness Manager to lead our spa and wellness operations at Lombok Tengah, Indonesia. This contract role focuses on delivering exceptional guest experiences and holistic wellness services within a luxury resort setting.

You will develop wellness programs, manage budgets, and ensure safety and quality across all wellness offerings while coordinating with other departments to enhance guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in spa or wellness management within a luxury hospitality setting.
• Strong knowledge of spa treatments, yoga, wellness therapies and holistic health practices.
• Proven experience in team leadership, staff management and training.
• Excellent customer service skills with a track record of delivering exceptional guest experiences.

About the role

Selong Selo Resort & Villas is seeking an experienced Wellness Manager to join our dynamic hospitality team. This is a contract position based in Lombok Tengah, Nusa Tenggara Barat, Indonesia. The Wellness Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our resort's wellness and spa operations, yoga, ensuring exceptional guest experiences whilst maintaining the highest standards of service and professionalism. This role is integral to our commitment to providing holistic wellness experiences that set our resort apart in the competitive hospitality and tourism market.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the spa and wellness facilities, ensuring all services are delivered to the highest standards
• Manage and supervise the wellness and spa team, including recruitment, training, scheduling and performance management
• Develop and implement wellness programs, treatments and activities that align with guest expectations and resort positioning
• Maintain all spa equipment and facilities, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
• Manage wellness budgets, control costs and maximize revenue through effective operational practices
• Create and maintain detailed records of guest preferences, treatments and feedback
• Liaise with other resort departments to integrate wellness services with overall guest experiences
• Monitor guest satisfaction and implement improvements based on feedback and industry best practices
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, health standards and safety protocols
• Develop marketing strategies to promote wellness offerings and maximize occupancy of spa services

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5 years' experience in spa or wellness management within a luxury hospitality setting
• Strong knowledge of spa treatments, yoga, wellness therapies and holistic health practices
• Proven experience in team leadership, staff management and training
• Excellent customer service skills with a track record of delivering exceptional guest experiences
• Proficiency in spa management software and basic accounting practices
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages are beneficial
• Understanding of health and safety regulations in the hospitality industry
• Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends as required
• Certification or qualifications in spa management, wellness or hospitality is preferred
• Experience in luxury resort environments is highly desirable
