Job summary

Mercure Hotels in Jakarta Selatan seeks a Wedding and Banquet Sales Executive to sell, market, and coordinate wedding packages and events at our hotel and connected venues.

You will lead prospecting, prepare proposals, conduct site visits, manage contracts, and liaise with F&B and operations to ensure flawless events. Strong English and local language skills preferred, with flexible weekend availability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Diploma in Hospitality, Tourism, Business or related field.
• At least 1 year in sales or marketing, preferably hospitality or events.
• Strong communication, negotiation and presentation abilities; multilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sales and lead generation for weddings, meetings, and social events.
• Draft sales proposals, quotations, and event presentations.
• Conduct site inspections and coordinate client meetings.
• Prepare contracts, event orders, and logs; manage client databases.
• Monitor deposits, final payments, and invoicing with Finance.
• Coordinate with banquet, F&B, and kitchen teams to ensure smooth events.
• Maintain client relations and gather post-event feedback.

Job Description

A Wedding and Banquet Sales Executive is responsible for selling, marketing, and coordinating wedding packages and banquet events at hotels, convention centers, or event venues.

Key Responsibilities

• Sales & Lead Generation: Prospecting new clients, handling inquiries, and selling packages for weddings, meetings, birthdays, and other social events.
• Proposal & Quotation Creation: Drafting sales proposals, custom price quotations, wedding package details, and event presentations.
• Site Inspections & Meetings: Conducting venue tours for potential clients and hosting coordination meetings.
• Contract Management: Preparing contracts, event orders, and sales activity logs, while managing databases of clients, wedding planners, and vendors.
• Billing & Payments: Monitoring deposit schedules, final payments, and invoice processing in coordination with the Finance department.
• Cross-Department Coordination: Collaborating closely with the banquet operations, food & beverage (F&B), and kitchen teams to ensure the event runs smoothly according to the contract.
• Client Relations & Feedback: Maintaining excellent relationships with clients throughout the planning process and collecting feedback after the event.

Qualifications

• Education: Minimum of a Diploma (D3) or Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Hospitality, Tourism, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
• Experience: Min 1 year of sales or marketing experience, preferably in the hospitality industry or with a wedding/event organizer.
• Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills (multilingual proficiency, especially English, is often preferred).
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and property management systems (PMS) or CRM software.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, as most major events take place during these times.
