About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and professional Waiter/Host for Captikus Bar to join our hospitality team at PT.SWE DEVELOPMENT LOMBOK. This is a full-time position based in Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara. As a Waiter/Host, you will be the welcoming face of our establishment, responsible for delivering exceptional service and creating memorable experiences for our guests. This role is essential to maintaining the high standards of hospitality that define our bar and restaurant, directly contributing to guest satisfaction and business success.

Key responsibilities

• Greeting guests warmly and professionally upon arrival, managing seating arrangements and ensuring optimal table allocation
• Taking accurate orders from guests and communicating them clearly to the bar staff
• Serving food and beverages promptly and courteously, ensuring all items meet quality standards before presentation
• Maintaining thorough knowledge of menu items, specials, and bar offerings to provide informed recommendations to guests
• Attending to guest needs throughout their visit, responding promptly to requests and resolving any concerns with professionalism
• Clearing tables efficiently and maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the dining and bar areas
• Processing payments accurately and handling cash or card transactions securely
• Collaborating with bar team to ensure smooth service flow during busy periods
• Adhering to health, safety and hygiene standards at all times
• Contributing to a positive team environment and supporting colleagues when needed

What we're looking for

• Previous experience as a waiter, host, or in a similar customer-facing hospitality role
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage guests courteously and professionally
• Strong organisational abilities and the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously during peak service periods
• A keen eye for detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights as required
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
• A positive attitude, reliability and a genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service
• Knowledge of food and beverage service practices and dining etiquette
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in English is preferred; knowledge of additional languages is advantageous
