Samudera Indonesia is seeking a capable operations professional to oversee daily ship activities, ensure regulatory compliance, and optimize performance data. You will manage principal relationships and align proposals with market trends to drive profitability.

The role requires 2+ years in shipping agency ops, a relevant bachelor's degree, and strong English skills. Travel across Indonesia may be needed as part of the role, with a focus on safety, risk management, and cross-team coordination.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in operations and/or commercial roles in shipping agency.
• Knowledge of export/import policies and laws, with strong problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
• Willingness to travel or be based anywhere in Indonesia as needed.

Responsabilités

• Oversee daily ship operational activities and ensure compliance with company procedures and applicable industry regulations.
• Monitor, analyze, and report vessel operations and performance data to improve efficiency and support decision-making.
• Manage relationships with principals, including acquiring new principals, maintaining existing ones, and acting as the main point of contact.
• Ensure alignment of business proposals and agreements with market trends and company profitability targets.
• Analyze market conditions and provide insights to support business development and market expansion.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely fulfillment of operational needs and maintain high client satisfaction.
• Implement an Integrated Management System and control risks in the department.
• Foster commitment to IMS requirements among team members.
• Participate in investigations of accidents/incidents and provide factual reports.
• Engage in information security controls to protect company information assets.
