Job summary

Valmet invites a Service Technician to join our workshop in Pekanbaru, focusing on mechanical maintenance, assembly, and hands-on operations to support valve and services. You will work with workshop equipment, follow safety rules, meet production specs, and contribute to waste reduction while developing your expertise and independent problem-solving.

You will gain practical experience in a local manufacturing environment, solving day-to-day challenges and supporting the success of critical flow

Qualifications

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is required.
3–5 years of relevant experience in mechanical operations.
Fresh graduates with a Mechanical Engineering background are welcome.
Experience in pulp and paper is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Operate workshop machines and equipment safely according to instructions.
Support manufacturing activities to meet specs, schedules, and quality standards.
Load materials into workshop machines to maintain workflow.
Pack, sort, and move raw materials and finished products as required.
Collect, segregate, and dispose of production waste per procedures.
Clean workshop equipment and maintain clean work areas for safety.
Perform mechanical maintenance on rollers and other equipment.
Carry out assembly work and related tasks to support operations.
Assist in training less experienced employees when needed.
Complete other duties assigned by the Workshop Supervisor.
