Job summary

Liebherr Group in Balikpapan, Indonesia seeks a Technical Trainer to prepare, conduct, and evaluate training programs for safety, maintenance, and repair of Liebherr machinery.

You will create training materials, schedules, and assessments, and support field service personnel and candidates' evaluations. Suitable candidates have mechanical/electrical engineering background and hands-on heavy equipment experience, with English communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical, Automotive or Electrical Engineering is preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office and ability to use AI tools is advantageous.
• Strong English communication skills, both spoken and written.

• Schedule trainings and report on course completion, absences and issues.
• Evaluate training outcomes and mentor team members to meet goals.
• Provide assistance to field service personnel and customer trainers.

Job description

We are looking Technical Trainer to preparing, conducting, and evaluating technical training programs. Create literature and materials to be used in programs and designs exercises to enhance lectures. Conducts classes regarding safety, maintenance, and repair of machine and equipment.

Your responsibilities

• Prepare and conduct technical training programs
• Produce training schedules and classroom agenda
• Prepare training material (presentations, worksheets etc)
• Perform training, both for Internal and Customer Technician
  - Internal,As per defined curriculum, based on Technician level
  - Customer, All mining excavator machine product knowledge Level 1&2
• Keep and report data on completed courses, absences, issues etc
• Observe and evaluate results of training conducted
• Motivates, guides, and mentors team members to exceed goals and creates a positive environment during shifts
• Provide assistance to LEC technical & operator trainers conducting customer training programs
• Provide technical assistance to field service personnel
• Assist in the evaluation of prospective employees and do the technical assessment as a justification to have promotion
• Comply with applicable environmental, health and safety laws and regulations, Company policy and accepted safe work practices

Your qualifications

• Preferably a graduate in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive, Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 1 year of work experience as Technical Trainer or 5 years of work experience in the heavy equipment maintenance field as Mechanic or Electrician
• Train of Trainer Level 3 (BNSP) or ability to obtain
• Basic Mechanic Course certificate or similar
• Experience on maintaining Liebherr Excavator is an advantage
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Knowledge on utilizing modern AI tools will be an advantage
• Good English verbal and written communication skill
• Proactive, Team player
