Job summary

PT. Liebherr Indonesia Perkasa in Balikpapan is seeking a Junior Welder to join our fabrication team. You will complete welding tasks under supervision, follow safety rules, and ensure quality workmanship in accordance with Liebherr procedures.

The role requires basic math and reading skills, a welding certification, and the ability to operate MIG/TIG welders and gouging equipment. Team collaboration and reliability are essential for timely project completion.

Qualifications

• High school or vocational high school education.
• 1 year experience in Heavy Mining Equipment Industry.
• Welding certification is required.
• Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills expected.

Responsibilities

• Attend and participate in fabshop safety meetings.
• Fill in Safety Analysis Forms and obtain supervisor sign-off before tasks.
• Report hazards to supervisor immediately.
• Follow standard work procedures and Liebherr quality procedures.
• Operate MIG and TIG welding machines and perform welding in 1F, 1G, 2F, 2G, 3F, 3G positions.
• Operate gouging machine as required and read measurements accurately.
• Maintain welding equipment, clean workspace, and complete daily timecards.
• Read basic technical drawings related to fabrication and welding.

Job description

We are looking for Junior Welder to ensure complete the tasks assigned by supervisor according to the timeline and quality of fabrication and welding work that has been determined, participate in maintaining safety at work environment and continues improvement related of quality

Your responsibilities

Safety:

1. Attend and participate in fabshop safety meeting
2. Fill in Safety Analysis Forms and have this form signed by Supervisor before Commencing Allocated tasks
3. Immediately report to supervisor when find the potential hazard in work places
4. Participate in continues improvement related work safety and environment
5. Always use PPE

Quality:

1. Follow the standard work procedures
2. Follow and maintain work process in accordance with Liebherr quality procedure
3. Participate in continues improvement related quality of product

• Maintain and ensure the condition of the welding machine and clean
• Complete daily timecard
• Ensure the workplace is clean and neatly arranged in the storage room
• Comply with company regulations and follow the supervisor's direction
• Maintain and take care of work tools and another supporting tools
• Able to operate MIG and TIG welding machine and perform welding position 1F, 1G, 2F, 2G, 3F and 3G
• Able to operate gouging machine and perform gouging process
• Able to use and read of measurement tools properly and correctly
• Basic of operating computer (online training required)
• Able to basic reading technical drawing related fabrication and welding
• Able to perform welding on production, component rework and another general welding production

Your qualifications

• High school or Vocational high school
• 1 year in Heavy Mining Equipment Industry
• Welding certification
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to effectively plan and prioritize work to meet deadlines
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure in a small team environment
• A high standard of personal work ethic
• Being reliable
• Being punctual
