Job summary

PT Jayatama Selaras is seeking a Mold Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance and overhauls of plastic molds (injection, blow, extrusion blow) and to inspect mold condition before and after production. You will disassemble and reassemble molds, repair worn components, measure parts with calipers and micrometers, and engage in basic machining, polishing, and troubleshooting.

The role requires reading technical drawings, working independently or in a team, and willingness to work

Qualifications

• Diploma (D3/D4) or Bachelor's degree (S1) in relevant fields.
• Specialization in Plastic Processing Technology or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• At least 2 years of Mold Maintenance Technician experience.
• Knowledge of injection, blow, and stretch blow mold construction and operation.
• Understanding of plastic materials (PP, PET, HDPE, LDPE, PVC, etc.).
• Experience with mold disassembly/assembly, cleaning, fitting, polishing, and repair.
• Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other measuring tools.
• Proficient with hand tools and power tools; basic machining skills.
• Ability to read drawings and understand tolerances.
• Able to work independently and in a team; willingness to shift if required.

• Record maintenance results, spare part usage, damage, and repair history.
• Ensure availability of spare parts and mold components as needed for maintenance.

Job description

Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and complete overhauls of molds (for plastic machinery: injection, stretch blow, and extrusion blow).

Inspect the condition of molds before and after use in the production process.

Disassemble and assemble molds in accordance with work procedures.

Repair or replace mold components that are damaged or worn.

Measure and inspect mold component dimensions using calipers, micrometers, hight gauges, and other measuring instruments.

Perform polishing, grinding, fitting, and basic machining tasks as required.

Troubleshoot mold-related issues.

Record maintenance results, spare part usage, damage, and mold repair history.

Ensure spare parts and mold components are available as required for maintenance.

Qualifications:

Minimum Diploma (D3/D4) or Bachelor’s degree (S1); specialization in Plastic Processing Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

At least 2 years of experience as a Mold Maintenance Technician.

Understanding of the construction and operating principles of injection mold, blow mold, or stretch blow mold.

Understanding of the basic characteristics of various plastic materials (PP, PET, HDPE, LDPE, PVC, Etc).

Understanding of mold disassembly, assembly, cleaning, fitting, polishing, and repair processes.

Proficiency in using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, hight gauges, and other measuring tools.

Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools.

Understanding of basic machining, grinding, milling, drilling, and general workshop operations.

Ability to perform troubleshooting and analyze mold damage.

Ability to read technical drawings and understand dimensional tolerances.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Willingness to work shifts if required.
