Job summary

PT Jayatama Selaras is seeking an experienced operator to run preform injection machines in a fast-paced plastics facility. You will ensure PET resin readiness, perform visual quality checks, monitor equipment, and complete timely production records.

The role requires at least a Diploma or Bachelor’s in a related field and a minimum of 3 years of experience. Candidates must be able to work shifts and adhere to OHS and 5S standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma D3/D4 or Bachelor’s in Plastic Processing Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field
• At least 3 years of experience as a preform injection machine operator
• Understanding PET materials and PET preform production process
• Ability to read machine parameters and monitor the process
• Willing to work shifts and follow OHS and 5S principles

Responsibilities

• Operate the preform injection machine in accordance with SOP and established process parameters.
• Ensure materials (PET/resin) are available and meet production standards.
• Perform visual inspections of preform quality, including color, weight, shape, dimensions, and product defects.
• Monitor the condition of the machine, parameter setting, mold, hopper, dryer, chiller, and supporting equipment.
• Conduct pre and post production machine checks.
• Complete production reports, inspection records, and machine downtime logs.
• Report any machine abnormalities, product quality issues, or unsafe conditions to the team leader or supervisor.
• Assist with changeover, cleaning, and minor maintenance tasks within the scope of the operator's authority.
• Ensure the achievement of production, quality, and machine efficiency targets.

Understanding the characteristics of material types (specifically PET).

Understanding of the PET preform production process.

Ability to read machine parameters and monitor the process.

Ability to perform visual product quality inspections.

Meticulous, disciplined, responsible, and a team player.

Willing to work shifts.

Understanding of basic OHS (Occupational Health and Safety) and 5S principles.
