Job summary

PT Golden Ocean Line is seeking a Technical Superintendent / Junior Superintendent to oversee technical performance of vessels, coordinate maintenance, and ensure regulatory compliance with class and flag authorities. The role includes budgeting, planning dry-docks, and supervising repairs in coordination with Operations, Crewing, Commercial and Procurement teams.

Qualifications

• Graduated from Mechanical, Electrical, Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or Chief Engineer qualification fields.
• 3 years of sailing experience as Senior Officer, or shore experience as a Technical Superintendent beneficial.
• Experience as Class Surveyors is beneficial.
• Strong knowledge of vessel technical requirements and voyage regulations.
• Excellent project management skills.
• Good organisation and time management.
• Ability to multitask and work under time pressure.
• Fluency in English beneficial, PC literacy.

Responsibilities

• Monitor assigned vessels' technical performance, maintenance activities, PMS, and operating budgets.
• Ensure compliance with classification society, flag state, and applicable international maritime regulations.
• Prepare and monitor annual technical budgets and control maintenance and repair costs.
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise dry-docking, vessel repairs, overhauls, and shore-based technical services.
• Review and approve purchase orders (POs) and technical requisitions within the authorized limits.
• Monitor vessel safety, machinery condition, and maintenance standards, and implement corrective actions where necessary.
• Coordinate with the Operations, Crewing, Commercial and Procurement departments to ensure efficient vessel operations.
• Conduct periodic vessel inspections and technical surveys to assess vessel condition and identify maintenance and safety corrective actions.
• Monitor the validity of class and flag certificates and ensure timely completion of surveys and renewals.
• Review vessel technical reports, follow up on defects and outstanding repairs, and report technical issues to management.

Our company PT Golden Ocean Line operates and owns bulk carrier in Indonesia. We are fast leading shipping, warehouse and container yard provider in Indonesia.

Key responsibilities:

Monitor assigned vessels' technical performance, maintenance activities, PMS, and operating budgets.

Ensure compliance with classification society, flag state, and applicable international maritime regulations.

Prepare and monitor annual technical budgets and control maintenance and repair costs.

3 years of sailing experience as Senior Officer, or shore experience as a Technical Superintendent with a ship management / owning company will be beneficial

Experienced as Class Surveyors will be beneficial

Strong knowledge of vessel's technical requirements and voyage regulations

Excellent project management skills

Good organisation skills

Good time management

Being able to work multitasking simultaneously

Being able to work under time pressure

Fluency in English will be beneficial
