PT Armada Rock Karunia Transshipment in Indonesia seeks a Technical Superintendent to ensure ship availability, supervise maintenance planning, and oversee dockings and surveys to meet safety and regulatory standards. Based at the Bunati site office, you will manage budgets, coordinate with other units, and provide shore-based support while traveling frequently to vessels.

• At least 2 years of experience as Technical Superintendent for tugs and barges.
• Experience as a second engineer or chief engineer on ships of 500 GT or above.
• Junior college diploma or higher in marine/mechanical engineering.
• Willing to be based at Bunati site office and travel frequently.
• Strong sense of responsibility and ability to follow management instructions.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure ship availability and supervise maintenance planning.
• Oversee ship surveys, class and statutory certificates, and regulatory compliance.
• Review spare parts and material requisition; manage docking activities.
• Create and control ship budgets and coordinate with other units.
• Provide shore-based support and report ship activities to superiors.
• Conduct regular ship/site visits and ensure data/specifications are up to date.

Descripción del empleo

Responsible for ensuring ship availability with R&M / PMS supervision in accordance with planning.

Responsible for creating ship annual maintenance plan and supervise implement progress to ensure ship’s safety and property compliance flag regulation and international convention.

Responsible to review the ship’s spare parts and material requisition.

Responsible for the repair of ship failures and providing shore-based support.

Responsible ship’s class certificate and statutory certificate management, ensure all certificate validity.

Create and control the budget for each ship under his responsibility, including coordinating with other work units.

Responsible for ensuring all ship operational needs are met.

Make daily reports to superiors regarding ship activities and conditions.

Assist with the insurance claim process.

Responsible for implementing HSE.

Ensure the condition of the ship is good, conduct regular ship and site visits, ensure updating of specification data.

Responsible for managing ship docking activities, including:

Carrying out ship surveys (building new ship, annual survey, interim survey, special survey) to ensure standards.

Carrying out survey design.

Test emergency equipment and machine operation.

Ensure the docking process runs according to schedule.

Job Specification:

Minimal 5 years experience in the shipping industry, and at least 2 years of experience as a Technical Superintendent for tugs and barges.

Experienced as a second engineer or chief engineer on ships of 500 gross tonnage or above.

Junior college diploma or higher, graduating from an accredited institution specializing in marine engineering or mechanical engineering.

Must be willing to be based at the Bunati site office and travel frequently.

Strong sense of responsibility, ability to follow management instructions, and an honest, amiable personality.
