Job summary

PT Cirebon Energi Prasarana is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to provide technical support and independent assessments of plant electrical systems. You will monitor major equipment, review RCA reports, and support modification projects to enhance reliability and efficiency.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, 7+ years in power plants, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 7 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, preferably in coal-fired or other thermal power plants.
• Experience in power plant maintenance, reliability engineering, engineering design, or construction/commissioning activities.
• Good understanding of power plant electrical systems, electrical equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, failure analysis, and reliability improvement.
• Proven active English communication skill (verbal and written) is a must.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and electrical engineering software such as ETAP, DIgSILENT, or equivalent tools would be an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Willing to work in Head Office (South Jakarta area).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and independent engineering assessments of plant electrical systems and O&M activities to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operation.
• Monitor and evaluate the condition, performance, and reliability of major electrical equipment, including generators, transformers, switchgear, protection systems, motors, and associated electrical systems.
• Review electrical equipment failures, operational issues, and maintenance findings. Evaluate Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive actions to improve equipment reliability.
• Review electrical engineering drawings, specifications, technical documents, and contractor proposals. Provide technical support for plant modification, improvement, and equipment replacement projects.
• Review and assess contractor/consultant engineering designs, technical proposals, and equipment selections for compliance with Owner's requirements, applicable standards, and contractual obligations.
• Provide technical oversight during major overhauls, equipment installation, commissioning, and performance testing of electrical systems and modification projects.
• Coordinate with internal departments, the O&M Contractor, consultants, and other external parties. Prepare technical assessments, recommendations, reports, and presentations to support management decisions.
