PT Altanova Teknologi Nusantara is seeking a Technical Project Manager (Engineering) to lead multidisciplinary technical programs from concept through deployment. The role requires deep engineering understanding and the ability to drive projects with customers and suppliers.
You will own project scope, schedule, cost, and performance, coordinating mechanical, electrical, controls, software, automation, and manufacturing teams to deliver concrete technical outcomes.
PT Altanova Teknologi Nusantara is looking for a Technical Project Manager (Engineering) with a strong engineering background and the ability to lead multidisciplinary technical projects from concept through implementation and deployment.
This is not a purely administrative project management role. We are looking for someone who can understand technical discussions, identify risks, coordinate engineering teams, work effectively with customers and suppliers, and independently drive projects forward.
The ideal candidate has a background in mechatronics, mechanical, electrical, automation, robotics, manufacturing, or a related engineering discipline, with experience coordinating or leading projects involving multiple technical areas.
You will serve as a key project owner connecting customers, engineering teams, suppliers, and management, with responsibility for keeping projects aligned with technical requirements, scope, schedule, cost, and performance objectives.
Lead engineering projects from requirements and concept development through design, procurement, fabrication, assembly, testing, installation, commissioning, and closeout.
Translate customer and business requirements into clear technical deliverables, acceptance criteria, milestones, and project plans.
Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams across mechanical, electrical, controls, software, automation, and manufacturing.
Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, priorities, resource requirements, and action items.
Track project progress, budgets, procurement, and major cost or schedule variances.
Identify technical, schedule, cost, resource, and supplier risks and drive appropriate mitigation actions.
Lead project meetings, design reviews, supplier discussions, and customer updates.
Work closely with engineers to understand technical issues and their impact on project scope, cost, schedule, and performance.
Coordinate with customers, suppliers, vendors, manufacturing partners, and internal teams.
Drive technical decisions, open issues, dependencies, and action items to closure.
Manage scope changes and clearly communicate their impact on requirements, cost, resources, and schedule.
Coordinate system integration, testing, installation, commissioning, field deployment, troubleshooting, and customer handover.
Maintain clear project documentation and provide timely status updates, risk assessments, and escalations to management.
Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical, Robotics, Automation, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
3+ years of relevant engineering experience, with demonstrated experience coordinating or leading technical projects.
Experience with multidisciplinary engineering, automation, manufacturing, system integration, or product-development projects.
Strong understanding of the engineering development lifecycle, from requirements and concept development through design, fabrication, testing, and deployment.
Ability to read and understand technical drawings, specifications, requirements, and engineering documentation.
Strong project planning, organization, problem-solving, and follow-through skills.
Ability to identify technical and project risks and understand their impact on schedule, cost, and system performance.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with engineers, customers, suppliers, and management.
Ability to take ownership of projects and work independently with limited supervision.
Professional proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia and good written and verbal English communication skills, particularly for technical discussions and documentation.
Experience in several of the following areas is preferred:
Mechatronics, robotics, or industrial automation
Machine design and system integration
Electrical and control systems
Product and prototype development
Manufacturing equipment and processes
System testing, installation, and commissioning
Field deployment and troubleshooting
Supplier and vendor management
Project budgeting and cost tracking
Experience with project management, scheduling, and collaboration tools.
PMP or a similar certification is a plus, but technical judgment, ownership, problem-solving ability, and project leadership are more important.
We are looking for someone who can take ownership of a technical project and independently:
Understand key requirements, deliverables, and acceptance criteria.
Determine the resources and engineering disciplines needed to execute the project.
Identify technical, schedule, cost, and supplier risks.
Recognize decisions, dependencies, and issues that are blocking progress.
Communicate and elevate important issues to customers and management.
Determine what needs to happen next and drive the team toward completion.
The right candidate is technically curious, organized, proactive, hands‑on, and comfortable leading teams and taking ownership in a fast‑paced engineering environment.
At Altanova, you will work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams on real-world technology, automation, and product‑development projects.
You will have direct involvement throughout the project lifecycle, from early concepts and technical requirements through design, fabrication, testing, system integration, and deployment.
This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys solving technical problems, leading and coordinating people and resources, working with customers and suppliers, and taking ownership of projects from beginning to end.
