Project & Technical Engineering Manager
Responsible for overseeing the engineering functions related to engineering project management, supporting new product development and qualification, and supporting machine reliability and productivity improvement. The role leads overall automation and digitization transformation, ensuring operational excellence and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
Engineering project management and capital management
- Collaborate with Regional Engineering and Regional Technical and production teams to ensure the engineering design supports new product objectives, saves projects, drives productivity improvement and meets engineering specifications, safety and quality standards.
- Provide capital and expense estimation for engineering projects.
- Lead and coach the team on the qualification process for new equipment and processes related to product launches.
- Facilitate cross‑functional teams to address challenges during product qualification and ensure timely resolution.
- Ensure post‑launch evaluations to assess product performance and recommend improvements.
Digitization and Smart Factory
- Lead and manage digitization projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals.
- Oversee project budgets, timelines, and resources, ensuring effective risk management and issue resolution.
- Evaluate, select, and implement advanced manufacturing technologies such as IoT, AI, machine learning, robotics, and data analytics.
- Work with IT and engineering teams to integrate new technologies into existing systems and processes.
Machine & Process Reliability Excellence
- Lead a team to develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance strategy for all site equipment and facilities to improve machine reliability, reduce unplanned downtime, and optimize maintenance spending.
- Build team capability to improve technical competency for the engineering team to increase total machine reliability and efficiency.
- Support troubleshooting for technical chronic issues.
- Drive the team to ensure adherence to safety standards and best practices from other sites in the region or worldwide.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse engineering team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Set performance goals, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide ongoing coaching and support.
- Promote collaboration and communication among engineering, production, and other departments.
- Ensure the development of engineering skills and knowledge through training and professional development opportunities.
- Collaborate with Regional / Global SME to co‑shape engineering organization capability and long‑term strategic asset management.
Compliance and Safety
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Champion a safety‑first culture, conducting safety audits and implementing necessary improvements.
- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to engineering and facility management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related field); Master’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience (7+ years) in engineering leadership roles, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance processes, facility management, and utility operations.
- Experience with new product development and qualification processes.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a data‑driven approach to decision‑making.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Experience working in a multinational company, coordinating with regional / global organizations.
- Proficient in engineering software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
