Xianlu Consulting seeks a Tax Manager to lead the company’s tax compliance and advisory functions in Indonesia. You will oversee monthly and annual tax returns, monitor regulatory changes, and coordinate with tax authorities.
The role requires deep knowledge of Indonesian tax laws, fluent Chinese, and experience in fast-moving industries. You will advise management, support planning, and work with external consultants to mitigate tax risk.
Lead and oversee the company’s tax compliance and filing activities in accordance with relevant Indonesian tax regulations. Ensure timely and accurate preparation and submission of monthly and annual tax returns. Closely monitor updates to tax regulations and assess their impact on the company’s business operations. Manage tax audits, tax disputes, tax assessments and communications with relevant tax authorities. Provide tax‑related consultation and recommendations to management and relevant business departments. Support tax planning and optimisation initiatives while ensuring full regulatory compliance. Evaluate tax implications arising from business transactions, agreements and corporate activities. Coordinate with external tax consultants, auditors and other relevant stakeholders as required. Monitor tax payments, account reconciliations and tax‑related financial records. Identify potential tax risks and propose corresponding risk‑mitigation strategies.
Bachelor’s degree or above. Minimum 5‑7 years of professional tax experience; prior supervisory / management experience is preferred. In‑depth knowledge of Indonesian tax laws and compliance requirements. Hands‑on experience handling tax audits, tax assessments and tax‑related disputes is preferred. Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills. Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple competing priorities. Fluent in Chinese. Working proficiency in English or Bahasa Indonesia for interpreting Indonesian tax regulations and liaising with local authorities. Prior experience in logistics, transportation, e‑commerce, retail or other fast‑moving industries is preferred. Possession of Indonesian professional tax certifications (e.g. Brevet A & B) is preferred.
