PT CONTEMPORARY AMPEREX TECHNOLOGY INDONESIA BATTERY is seeking a senior tax leader to manage Indonesia tax obligations, compliance, and planning. You will coordinate with tax authorities, auditors, and internal teams to ensure accurate reporting and prudent tax strategies.
The role requires deep knowledge of Indonesian tax laws, large-entity experience, and strong leadership to guide a tax team and implement internal controls.
Responsible for the overall tax management of the Indonesian entity, ensuring that all tax declarations and compliance work are completed accurately and timely, and providing professional tax planning and consulting services for the company's business operations. This position requires in-depth mastery of Indonesian tax laws and regulations, rich experience in tax audit response, and the ability to serve as the core docking person between the company, tax authorities and external audit institutions.
Overall management of monthly, quarterly and annual returns for corporate income tax (CIT), value-added tax (VAT/PPN), withholding tax (WHT/PPh 21/23/26, etc.) and other applicable taxes
Ensure the accurate preparation, timely filing and payment of all tax returns
Prepare and maintain tax provisions, tax forecasts and annual tax budgets
Review and reconcile tax-related general ledger accounts and balances to ensure monthly balance between GL and tax returns
Audit of tax disclosures and notes in the financial statements
Lead and manage the whole process of tax audit (pemeriksaan pajak), including preparing required information, performing data reconciliation and transaction analysis (income, expenses, cash flow, accounts receivable, etc.)
Handling inquiry letters from tax authorities (SP2DK), tax penalty decisions (STP) and other tax correspondence
Responsible for tax objection (objection), tax appeal (appeal) and Tax Court (Tax Court) related procedures
Act as the company's main docking person with the Department of Revenue (KPP) and the State Administration of Taxation (DJP)
Develop and implement effective tax planning strategies to optimize corporate tax costs and efficiency
Provide professional tax advice Indonesian tax laws and regulations, business transactions, contractual terms, supply chain arrangements, import and export and capital investments, etc.
Analyze related party transactions to ensure compliance with Indonesian transfer pricing regulations and relevant OECD guidelines
Support the review and compliance management of related party transactions within the Group
Identify, assess and control tax risks, and establish a sound tax compliance internal control system
Monitor and evaluate the implementation of tax processes, policies and SOPs to ensure the effectiveness of internal controls
Support internal and external audit work, including preparation of relevant information and audit responses
Manage the tax team, coordinate the allocation of work and ensure the quality of delivery
Maintain professional relationships with external tax consultants, accounting firms and tax authorities
Collaborate with the tax team of the group headquarters
Bachelor degree or above in accounting, taxation, finance or related majors
At least 10 years of tax-related work experience, including at least 3 years of management experience
Experience in tax work with Big 4 accounting firms or multinational corporations (MNC) is preferred
Experience in manufacturing tax management is preferred
Hold Indonesian Tax Professional Certification Brevet A & B & C, Applicants holding USKP (Tax Court Agency Qualification) certification are preferred, CPA, ACCA or equivalent professional accounting qualifications are preferred
Professional skills : In-depth understanding of Indonesian tax laws and regulations, including corporate income tax (CIT), value-added tax (VAT/PPN), various types of withholding taxes (PPh 21/23/25/26/4 (2), etc.)
Familiar with transfer pricing regulations and relevant OECD guidelines
Proficient in operating the Indonesian tax system: such as Coretax, etc.
Proficient in using financial software and office software (such as Microsoft Office, ERP system, etc.)
Excellent analytical skills and high attention to detail and Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management skills
Proactive, results-oriented, and able to adapt to a fast-paced work environment
