PT CONTEMPORARY AMPEREX TECHNOLOGY INDONESIA BATTERY seeks an experienced Tax Manager to lead Indonesian tax compliance for a manufacturing operation in West Java. The role centers on filing PPh and VAT returns, optimizing VAT inputs/outputs, and overseeing tax incentives and import taxes.
You will collaborate with the local accounting team, coordinate with HQ, and act as the primary liaison with DJP and Customs for audits and disputes. Fluency in English and Indonesian is essential.
Review and ensure accurate preparation and timely filing of all monthly and annual Indonesian tax returns (PPh 21/26, 23/26, 4(2), 22, 15, and VAT/PPN).
Manage VAT (PPN) refund mechanisms and optimize inputs/outputs related to raw material purchases, domestic sales, and export shipments.
Maximize and manage specialized manufacturing tax incentives, such as Tax Holidays, Tax Allowances, etc
Oversee Article 22 Income Tax on import activities (PPh Pasal 22 Impor) and collaborate with the logistics/customs team.
Cooperate with local accountant team to validate the variance between tax and accounting.
Deploy the variance in SAP with support from Head Quarter team
Tax Audit & Dispute Resolution
Serve as the primary liaison with the Indonesian Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) and Customs officers.
Prepare and Manage and facilitate tax audits, objections, and appeals.
Advisory & Operational Tax Planning
Provide tax advisory on supply chain structures, toll-manufacturing agreements, asset disposals, and cross-border transactions.
Assess the tax impact of major capital expenditures (CapEx), factory expansions, and equipment upgrades.
Continuously monitor evolving Indonesian tax laws (such as UU HPP updates) and proactively update manufacturing workflows to stay compliant.
Perform fiscal reconciliation and calculate corporate income tax provisions, deferred taxes, and fixed asset depreciation based on tax laws vs. commercial accounting (PSAK).
Provide day-to-day internal tax advisory to various business units regarding the tax implications of commercial transactions.
Requirements :
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Taxation, or Fiscal Administration.
Minimum of 7-10 years of tax experience, with at least 5 years directly within a manufacturing company or handling manufacturing clients at a Big 4 tax firm.
Technical Skills & Certifications
Tax Brevet A & B are mandatory (Brevet C is a strong advantage).
Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia (written and spoken) for corporate reporting and communication with regional stakeholders
Mastery of Indonesian tax applications (e-Faktur, e-Bupot, DJP Online) and proficiency in SAP, or similar ERP systems used in manufacturing.
Deep understanding of Indonesian tax laws, compliance, accounting standards (PSAK), and international tax treaties (P3B).
Strong grasp of Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) accounting, inventory valuation methods (FIFO/Average), and tax depreciation
