Job summary

GME Solutions Batam is establishing a local technical team to support data centre projects in Batam. The role targets graduates in Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronics/Automation fields, with on‑the‑job training in Edwards fire alarm systems and Airsense design verification.

Training will begin at the Johor Bahru office, followed by site experience in Batam. The program includes an 8–10‑day Edwards professional certification conducted by trainers from the USA, plus hands‑on programming, testing

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering or a related discipline.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Previous fire alarm experience is not required.
• Strong interest in technical systems, software configuration and practical problem-solving.
• Responsible, detail-oriented and eager to learn.
• Ability to communicate in Bahasa Indonesia and working English, including reading technical manuals.
• Willingness to travel to Johor Bahru, Malaysia, for training and work at project sites in Batam.

Responsibilities

• Program Edwards fire alarm systems according to client and consultant Cause and Effect requirements.
• Check Airsense sampling-pipe designs and perform software calculations for sampling-hole sizes, smoke transport times and other design parameters.
• Attend project sites after installation to carry out programming, testing and commissioning.
• Troubleshoot faults and coordinate with installation contractors to resolve technical issues.
• Verify system operation against approved project specifications.
• Prepare testing records, commissioning reports and system database backups.
• Support project handover and future maintenance activities.

Established in 2000, GME Solutions is based in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, specialising in the distribution and technical support of Edwards addressable fire alarm systems and Airsense aspirating smoke detection

We are setting up PT GME Solutions Batam @ Raflessia Business Centre. No. D6-2,Teluk Tering, Batam Kota, Kepulauan Riau

systems.

We work closely with fire protection contractors, providing equipment and specialist expertise in system programming, design verification, testing and commissioning.

To support our long-standing client’s data centre projects in Batam, we are establishing a local operation and developing a Batam-based technical team.

We are seeking a motivated graduate who wants to grow with us, develop specialist engineering skills and progressively take responsibility for local projects. As our operations expand, the role may also include maintenance and technical support for completed data centres.

Training and Career Development

The successful candidate will attend comprehensive in-house training at our Johor Bahru office, guided by experienced senior programmers. This will be followed by supervised site experience alongside our Malaysian technical team in Batam.

Following successful completion of probation and confirmation of employment, the candidate will be enrolled in an 8–10-day Edwards professional certification programme conducted by certified trainers from the USA.

Training will cover Edwards system programming and Airsense design verification, software calculations, configuration, testing and commissioning.
