About the role

We are seeking a Senior IT Programmer to join our technology team in Central Jakarta on a full-time basis. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining sophisticated software applications that support our fire safety and security operations. As a senior member of the development team, you will play a crucial strategic role in advancing our technological capabilities and ensuring the delivery of robust, scalable solutions that meet the evolving needs of our business and clients.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy high-quality software applications and systems that support fire safety and security operations
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following industry best practices and coding standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, business analysts, and other developers to translate requirements into technical solutions
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to junior programmers and team members
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimise existing applications to enhance performance and reliability
• Participate in system architecture discussions and contribute to technical decision-making processes
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for developed systems and applications
• Mentor and support junior developers, sharing knowledge and fostering professional growth within the team
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends relevant to software development

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5+ years of professional software development experience with a proven track record of delivering successful projects
• Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or C++
• Solid understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and object-oriented programming principles
• Experience with relational databases and SQL query optimisation
• Knowledge of software development methodologies including Agile or Scrum
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to analyse complex technical challenges
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
• Experience in version control systems such as Git
• Familiarity with API development and web services
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
