Job summary

Meratus Group is hiring a Sustainability Specialist to support ESG program development and implementation across its maritime and logistics operations. You will coordinate cross-functional initiatives, collect ESG data, and assist in disclosures and reports.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 3–4 years in sustainability, with strong Excel/PowerPoint skills and English proficiency. Based in Surabaya, the position emphasizes proactive, detail-oriented work and stakeholder collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any major.
• 3–4 years of experience in sustainability, ESG, environmental management, CSR, or related areas.
• Strong understanding of ESG concepts, reporting and data management.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional sustainability-related programs.
• Strong analytical and data management skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management with internal and external parties.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Good command of English, written and verbal.
• Proactive, organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Willing to be located in Surabaya.

Responsibilities

• Research ESG trends, practices, and regulations to identify improvements.
• Maintain documentation and supporting evidence for programs and reporting requirements.

Job Description

• Support the development and implementation of the company's sustainability and ESG programs in line with business objectives.
• Coordinate sustainability initiatives across business units and functions, including environmental, social, and community-related programs.
• Collect, consolidate, and monitor ESG-related data from relevant departments to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Support the preparation of sustainability reports, ESG disclosures, questionnaires, presentations, and other sustainability-related materials.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure the smooth execution and documentation of sustainability initiatives.
• Develop sustainability communication materials and internal awareness programs in collaboration with the Corporate Communication team.
• Conduct research and benchmarking on ESG trends, sustainability practices, and relevant regulations/frameworks to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Maintain proper documentation and supporting evidence for sustainability programs, ESG data, and reporting requirements.

Job Requirement

• Minimum 3–4 years of experience in sustainability, ESG, environmental management, CSR, corporate responsibility, or related areas.
• Good understanding of ESG and sustainability concepts, reporting, and data management.
• Experience in coordinating cross-functional projects or sustainability-related programs.
• Strong analytical and data management skills, with good attention to detail.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work with various internal and external parties.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
