Job summary

PT Expat Roasters Indonesia is seeking a Sustainability Assistant to conduct simple walk-through audits, gather data, and coordinate recycling improvements. You will research local solutions to divert waste from landfills and help identify energy leaks to boost office efficiency.

The role includes creating visual aids to promote eco-friendly behavior and assisting in drafting a basic Sustainability Handbook for internal guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct simple walk-through audits of the facility to identify areas of waste.
• Gather data on utility usage and waste volume to help set future improvement goals.
• Coordinate the setup or improvement of recycling and waste-segregation stations within the building.
• Research and propose local solutions for diverting organic or specialized waste from landfills.
• Assist in identifying energy leaks and suggest simple habits or schedules for powering down equipment and electronics.
• Help evaluate current office and operational supplies to see where more sustainable alternatives could be introduced.
• Create simple, engaging visual aids (signs, posters, or digital tips) to encourage eco-friendly behavior among the staff.
• Assist in drafting a basic "Sustainability Handbook" or a list of "Green Office Guidelines."
• Provide administrative and research support for any new sustainability-related projects or partnerships the company decides to explore.
