Sandvik is seeking a Technical Support Manager for Surface Drills, based in the Asia region. The role demands extensive fault-finding, advanced troubleshooting of hydraulic and DC electrical systems, and providing prompt, safe solutions to customers.

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline.
• 6–10 years' Sandvik equipment experience with advanced troubleshooting (hydraulic and DC electrical systems).
• Technician qualification in mechanics, hydraulics, or electrics.
• Interest in new technology and digitalisation trends.
• Ability to motivate and train team members.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and initiative.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.
• Experience in second-line support, root cause analysis, and troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of system adjustments and client equipment.
• Knowledge of mining environment and equipment applications.
• Strong safety culture.
• Strong customer service focus and target-driven.

Responsabilités

• Perform fault finding and provide prompt, correct, safe solutions.
• Act as trusted advisor to customers and determine solutions.
• Install, repair, inspect, and commission service.
• Provide application advice to sales and review cost proposals.
• Take ownership of market releases and ramp down old products.
• Conduct product launch, testing and commissioning services.
• Support large projects and readiness activities.
• Support New Product Development with technical input.
• Provide aftermarket support to Equipment divisions and Sales Areas.
• Coach, mentor, trainer with knowledge transfer between factory and Sales Area.
• Collaborate with Parts & Services division for training interventions.
• Ensure SHEQ compliance.
