Job summary

MatchaTalent is seeking a Sales Representative – Marine Engine in Surabaya to drive B2B revenue growth, expand the customer base, and manage end-to-end sales. The role targets marine engines, gearboxes, and generators with a focus on shipowners, shipyards, and industrial operators across Indonesia.

Candidates should have 5+ years of B2B sales in heavy equipment, strong technical knowledge, and a network in maritime sectors. Travel across Indonesia is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical) or Business/Marketing.
• 5+ years B2B sales experience in heavy equipment, marine, or industrial machinery.
• Strong knowledge of marine engines, gearboxes, and generator sets.
• Existing network in shipyard, shipping, or maritime industry preferred.
• Understanding of technical specs (horsepower, torque, etc.).
• Experience in end-to-end sales cycle and contract negotiation.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Willing to travel frequently across Indonesia.
• Fluent English for business communication and reporting.
• Results-driven, resilient, and hands-on field sales mindset.

Responsibilities

• Generate new B2B leads in marine, mining, and power generation sectors.
• Conduct technical sales presentations on marine engines and related systems.
• Manage existing customer accounts and drive repeat spare parts orders.
• Monitor competitor activities and market trends for sales strategy input.
• Handle full sales cycle: inquiry, quotation, negotiation, and deal closing.
• Support after-sales relationship management and customer retention.
• Coordinate with internal teams for technical and commercial support.
