Reporting to the Cluster Planning Head, the Supply Planning Manager leads the end-to-end supply planning strategy and execution for the cluster, ensuring the seamless flow of products from affiliate and third-party manufacturing sites to the markets. The role is responsible for balancing customer service, inventory management, and supply chain costs while securing supply continuity and supporting business growth objectives.
Working across a complex network of manufacturing sites and stakeholders, the Supply Planning Manager translates demand plans into executable supply and replenishment strategies, proactively managing supply risks, optimizing inventory, and ensuring sustainable product availability in both the short and long term.
Key Responsibilities:
Market Availability & Service Level Management
- Ensure Product Availability: Own the On-Time, In-Full (OTIF) and Service Level targets for all products.
- Network & Replenishment Planning: Manage primary supply flows from multiple manufacturing sites to local market distribution centers.
- Shortage Mitigation: Anticipate supply disruptions, stock-outs, or allocation limits. Lead cross functional task forces (Sales, Finance, S&OP) to prioritize allocations and mitigate customer impact.
- Participate in market CMOS meeting to address supply issue for key products Gap/Excess.
Supply Interface & S&OP Collaboration
- Collaboration with distributor to align on the ordering plan.
- Capacity & Supply Alignment: Translate market consensus demand into rolling supply plans for order/forecast submission to factories through the Network Planning team.
- Supply Reviews: a) Lead S&OE for the market. b) Participate in the periodic Supply Review step of S&OP process for the cluster, focusing on volume changes cycle to cycle, inventory management, aging stocks management and supply chain cost.
Cluster Inventory Optimization
- Working Capital Strategy: Set and maintain optimal safety stock, reorder points, and target stock levels across all cluster warehouses to balance cost and availability.
- Inventory Health: Actively monitor slow-moving, obsolete, and near-expiry inventory. Implement liquidations or promotional strategies with Sales teams to minimize write-offs.
- Process Optimization: Refine replenishment parameters (minimum order quantities, lead times, safety stocks) in Planning Systems and collaborate with Planning Excellence to identify and implement system automation opportunities (Project Pathway) that improve the planning process.
- Cross-Functional Synergy: Partner closely with Demand Planning, Logistics, Regulatory, and Sales teams to ensure seamless product launches, phase-ins/phase-outs, and seasonal spikes.
Job Specifications/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or equivalent.
- Strong technical and functional skills (min. 8 years supply planning and supply chain experience).
- FMCG experience with Strong analytical skill is required.
- Knowledge of supply planning tools like Kinaxis will be an added advantage.
- Exceptional stakeholder management, conflict management, negotiation skill.
- Fluent English Language Skills (verbal and written).
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, PowerBI).
