Job summary

Digital Place Vision Pte Ltd in Indonesia is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer focused on AI deployments. You will design, implement, and optimize backend services that power AI-driven supply chain analytics.

Collaborate with AI Engineers, Data Engineers, and product teams to translate business needs into robust, scalable systems. The role emphasizes data integrity, performance, and reliable AI integrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, SCM, Operations Research, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in supply chain analytics, retail operations, inventory planning, business analysis, or a related analytical role.
• Solid understanding of retail supply chain processes, particularly inventory management, replenishment, allocation, distribution, and store operations.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience analyzing and validating business data.
• Experience with BI tools, data visualization, and KPI development.
• Ability to translate business problems into clear business rules, analytical requirements, and testable scenarios.
• Strong critical thinking skills to evaluate whether AI-generated outputs are logically sound, factually correct, and aligned with business requirements.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with LLMs, AI-powered applications, prompt engineering, or AI evaluation methodologies is a plus.
• Experience with Python, APIs, test automation, or regression testing is an advantage.

About the Role

About the RoleWe are looking for a Supply Chain Analyst to improve the accuracy, reliability, and business effectiveness of our AI-powered systems for supply chain operations. This role combines supply chain expertise, data analysis, and critical thinking to ensure AIsystems understand business processes, identify operational issues, and generate accurate, actionable insights.You will work closely with AI Engineers, Data Engineers, Product Managers, and Supply Chain stakeholders to translate business knowledge into analytical logic, evaluation frameworks, and continuous system improvements. The focus is on ensuring AI-generated analyses and recommendations align with real-world supplychain operations.

• Analyze Supply Chain Processes: Understand retail supply chain operations,including inventory management, replenishment, product allocation, distributioncenter operations, and store fulfillment.
• Improve AI System Performance: Evaluate AI-generated analyses, root causeexplanations, and recommendations to identify inaccuracies, missing context,and incorrect business assumptions.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis: Investigate supply chain issues using businessdata and validate whether AI-generated conclusions are supported by evidence.
• Define Business Logic: Translate supply chain processes, business rules, operational constraints, and KPI definitions into structured requirements for AIsystems.
• Develop AI Evaluation Frameworks: Create test scenarios, benchmark cases,expected outputs, and evaluation criteria to measure AI accuracy, consistency, and business relevance.
• Collaborate with Technical Teams: Work with AI Engineers, Data Engineers, and Product Managers to identify system improvement opportunities and translate business findings into actionable technical requirements.
• Validate System Improvements: Conduct user acceptance testing and regressiontesting to ensure changes improve AI performance without breaking existing functionality. Maintain Business Knowledge: Document business rules, analyticalmethodologies, edge cases, and reference scenarios to support continuous AIsystem improvement.
• Monitor Improvement Outcomes: Track recurring AI errors, evaluateimplemented changes, and identify opportunities to improve system reliabilityand business impact.

What We're Looking For
