Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field.
• At least 3 years' experience as a Business Analyst.
• Experience in retail, supply-chain or FMCG is a plus.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Experience with data visualization tools.

Responsibilities

• Engage with clients to understand objectives, challenges, and identify AI/machine learning opportunities.
• Gather requirements from stakeholders across senior management, IT, and SMEs.

About the Role

We are looking for a Business Analyst to work closely with clients and cross-functional technology teams to identify business improvement opportunities, assess the application of AI and machine learning, and translate business challenges into practical solutions that deliver measurable business value.

What You'll Do

• Client Engagement and Business Analysis
  • Engage with clients to understand their business objectives, operational challenges, and pain points, and identify opportunities to apply AI and machine learning to improve business performance.
  • Work closely with client stakeholders, including senior management, IT teams, and subject matter specialists, to gather requirements and understand business processes.
  • Analyse existing business processes and identify areas for improvement, optimisation, and automation.
  • Develop recommendations and improvement plans aligned with clients' business objectives and operational needs.
• Solution Development and Implementation
  • Collaborate with technology teams to translate business requirements into practical, technology-driven solutions.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to develop proof-of-concept (PoC) solutions and demonstrate their potential business value to clients.
  • Support the planning, development, and implementation of proposed solutions to address identified business challenges.
  • Evaluate proposed solutions against business requirements and communicate findings and recommendations to relevant stakeholders.
• Stakeholder Communication and Collaboration
  • Communicate ideas, analysis findings, proposed solutions, and implementation plans clearly to clients, cross-functional teams, and management.
  • Facilitate discussions between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure a shared understanding of requirements and proposed solutions.
  • Present business analyses, solution concepts, and recommendations to clients and management, including non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborate with technology team members in Indonesia and other countries to support project delivery and knowledge sharing.
• Industry and Technology Developments
  • Keep up to date with developments in business processes, AI, machine learning, and automation relevant to retail and supply-chain management.
  • Identify emerging technologies and approaches that may help clients improve operational efficiency and business outcomes.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field.
• At least 3 years of working experience as a Business Analyst or in a related role.
• Must have experience in retail or supply-chain management or FMCG will be an advantage.
• Demonstrated experience engaging stakeholders and influencing discussions to determine acceptable and practical solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts and system design decisions to non-technical audiences.
• Strong presentation skills, with the ability to communicate findings, proposals, and recommendations effectively.
• Strong analytical, conceptual thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with data visualisation tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Apache Superset is preferred.
• Experience working on projects involving stakeholders across different countries will be an advantage.
• An interest in applying AI, machine learning, and automation to solve business and operational challenges.
