Job summary

PaxOcean Group is seeking a maintenance technician to support yard activities at our Batam facility. You will follow instructions from supervisors, assist in dock maintenance, and ensure safety and quality compliance across operations.

The role involves servicing and maintaining Floating Dock equipment, coordinating with vessel crew for shore power connections, and supporting repair processes with documentation and preventive actions.

Qualifications

• Completed primary education with more than 10 years of relevant experience in mechatronic control.
• Willingness to take on additional workload and show initiative.
• Able to speak and write simple English.
• Knowledge of electro components, power electronics, mechanical control and mechanical systems.
• Familiarity with using a multimeter or specialized troubleshooting tools.
• Understanding of basic or advanced mechanical principles.

Responsibilities

• Follow working instructions from Foreman/Supervisor and assist yard maintenance and development teams.
• Ensure all HSE and quality aspects are complied with.
• Maintain equipment at Floating Dock (crane, actuator, generator, pump, motor, winch, lamp).
• Service equipment as per schedule by equipment.
• Prepare stock items for Floating Dock Plant.
• Assist with subcontractors during repair, testing and commissioning.
• Document preventive maintenance plans and corrective actions to improve effectiveness.
• Monitor progress of deck repairs and side wall work at Floating Dock.
• Coordinate with crew vessels to connect shore power from dock to vessel.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or company.

Do The activities based on the working Instruction from Foreman/Supervisor and assisting to yard maintenance & development team to carry out the department activities

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure all HSE and quality aspects are complied.
• Assist and solve the situation related to department.
• Maintenance Equipment at Floating Dock (Crane, Actuator, Generator, Pump, Motor, Winch, Lamp).
• Service Equipment as per Schedule by Equipment.
• Preparing stock item for Floating Dock Plant.
• Assist with subcontractor while Repair process, Testing and Commissioning Equipment.
• Documentation of Preventive Maintenance Plan and Implementation Corrective Measure to Increase Effectiveness.
• Assist and Monitoring Progress Repairing Deck, Side Wall at Floating Dock.
• Assist and Communicate with Crew Vessel to connect Shore Power from Dock to Vessel.
• Other assignment from superior or which is assigned by the company.
• Following the Safety Rules and Regulation set refer to Occupational Health & Safety Policy and Environmental Policy by the yard.
