Job summary

PaxOcean is seeking an Assistant Engineer, Hull & Outfitting, to prepare and review hull and outfitting drawings, 3D models, and production documents to support shipbuilding, repair, and conversions.

Coordinate with production teams, clients, and classification societies to meet project requirements, quality standards, and class regulations, while providing technical support to resolve issues during execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or related.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in shipbuilding, ship repair, offshore, or marine engineering projects.
• Proficiency in AVEVA Marine, AutoCAD, and other relevant engineering software.
• Ability to review engineering drawings and technical documents independently.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Experience coordinating with clients, classification societies and production teams.

Responsibilities

• Follow Safety Rules and Regulations as per yard policies.
• Comply with instructions from manager, supervisors, Designer and Owner to deliver quality work.
• Perform modeling, assembly, and nesting drawings for new builds, repairs, or conversions.
• Check and troubleshoot on-site issues during project progress.
• Review and check design drawings to satisfy customer and classification society requirements.
• Achieve KPI targets for the engineering department.

Key Responsibilities

• To follow the Safety Rules and Regulation set refers to Occupational Health & Safety Policy and Environmental Policy by the yard.
• Comply with manager, supervisors, Designer and Owner instructions and perform to achieve quality work.
• Perform modeling, assembly, nesting drawing for new building, repair/upgrade & conversion.
• To check & troubleshoot in case have issue on site during progress of the project
• Review and checking design drawing to suit customer satisfaction and classification society.
• To achieve KPI engineering department

Key Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree/Diploma (D3/D4) in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or related
• Min. 2 years of experience in shipbuilding, ship repair, offshore, or marine engineering projects discipline
• Proficient in AVEVA Marine, AutoCAD, and other relevant engineering software
