Sentuh Design is an independent interior design practice based in Seminyak, Bali, working on bespoke projects for private clients and international developments.
Our work spans multiple sectors, including hospitality, commercial, wellness, residential, cafés, gyms, watersports facilities, clubhouses and other premium lifestyle spaces.
We are currently a small, growing practice and are looking to bring our first junior design professional into the business as we continue to grow and look to expand our work in Bali.
As the first junior member of the practice, you will work directly alongside the Design Director and have the opportunity to be involved in a broad range of design, project and studio activities.
This is not a role within a large established design department, but it is an opportunity to grow alongside a developing practice, gain direct experience across the design process and play an important role in the future development of the business.
We also collaborate with external consultants, suppliers, visualisation artists, contractors and other design professionals, giving you exposure to a wider professional design network.
As a small and growing practice, every day will be different.
Initially, this role will combine Junior Interior Designer responsibilities with Studio Assistant responsibilities.
You will work directly with the Design Director to support live projects while also helping with the practical day-to-day running of the practice. The role is intentionally broad, and
you should be comfortable moving between design work, research, documentation, organisation and general studio tasks.
You will gain experience across different stages of the design process, from initial concepts and space planning through to design development, presentations, FF&E, 3D visualisation and documentation.
As your skills, experience and confidence develop, you will progressively take on more responsibility within projects and become increasingly involved in design development, documentation, coordination and project delivery.
As part of a small practice, you will also be expected to assist with practical tasks that help keep the business and projects running smoothly.
This may include:
The ability to switch between different types of tasks and take responsibility for getting things done is important for this position.
You do not need to be an expert in everything above. We are looking for someone with a good foundation, a willingness to learn and the ability to develop their skills quickly.
This is an entry-level opportunity, and attitude, reliability, attention to detail and willingness to learn are just as important as technical skills.
Because you will work directly with the Design Director, you will receive direct mentoring, feedback and exposure to the full design process rather than being limited to one particular area of a larger design team.
As the practice grows, there will be opportunities for the successful candidate to take on greater responsibility and develop into a more senior design role.
This is a full-time position with fixed working hours.
