Studio Hita is a growing architecture and interiors studio based in Lombok, Indonesia. We work across architecture, hospitality, interiors and furniture, creating thoughtful, design-led spaces grounded in their context.
As a start-up, we're building our team, processes and portfolio as we go. We're looking for an intermediate–senior level Architect or Architectural Drafter who is excited to work closely with the founders, contribute ideas and help bring ambitious design visions to life.
You'll work directly with the founders and design team to develop architectural concepts into well-resolved, buildable designs and technical drawings. Depending on your experience, this may range from design development and detailing through to producing construction drawings and coordinating with consultants, suppliers and the construction team.
We're looking for someone with strong technical skills, an eye for detail and a genuine interest in good design. Just as importantly, you'll be comfortable working in a small, evolving studio where initiative, adaptability and problem-solving are essential.
Produce accurate architectural drawings, including plans, elevations, sections and construction details.
Translate design intent into practical technical solutions, considering materials, construction methods and local building practices.
Work closely with the founders to develop and refine design ideas.
Coordinate with consultants, contractors, suppliers and the wider project team as required.
Assist with material research, specifications and design documentation.
Contribute to improving studio workflows, drawing standards and design processes as we grow.

Strong technical drawing skills and an understanding of construction detailing.
Proficiency in relevant architectural software.
The ability to interpret design intent and translate it into clear, buildable documentation.
Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate closely with a small team.
A proactive, independent approach to problem-solving and the confidence to ask questions when things are unclear.
Comfort working in a start-up environment where priorities, processes and responsibilities may evolve.
A portfolio demonstrating your technical ability, attention to detail and experience with architectural projects.
An interest in or experience with natural materials, particularly timber and bamboo.
An understanding of sustainable design principles and climate-responsive architecture.
An interest in interiors, furniture design or custom joinery.
Experience working on hospitality, residential or design-led projects.
Experience coordinating with local builders, fabricators and suppliers in Indonesia.
Location: Our studio is based in Kuta, Lombok.
Flexibility: Some flexibility around working location, with regular in-person collaboration at our office.
Team: You'll work directly with the founders in a small, collaborative and growing studio.
