PT Sea Group is seeking a Strategy & Commercial Specialist in Infrastructure (Compute & Storage Products) to lead compute and storage procurement, manage suppliers, and ensure cost-efficient infrastructure solutions aligned with business needs.

You will collaborate with internal teams and external vendors for POC tests, qualification, and commercial negotiations while shaping infrastructure strategies for the organization.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of relevant full-time experience in compute and storage.
• Strong understanding of components, system constructs and high-level architecture.

Strategy & Commercial Specialist, Infrastructure (Compute & Storage Products)

Our Infrastructure team provides the end-to-end managed services and solutions for the Group's entire Internet infrastructure alongside running business applications. We excel in building the architecture, providing solutions and operations of data center, connectivity, cloud, networking, system, storage and security. We are a proud provider of high-quality and stable running business applications and services to our internal business units.

As a Compute & Storage Specialist in Sea Infrastructure, you will be responsible for compute and storage related procurement, supporting the requirement from various business units. You will serve as the primary interface and act as the process owner responsible for managing suppliers and internal customers. In this position, you will play a key role in procuring high-quality and cost-efficient infrastructure products/services for the organization.

• Assist in planning, developing and implementing comprehensive IT infrastructure strategies tailored to the business needs and prospects, with a focus on compute and storage products, including but not limited to server, storage, and its components (e.g. CPU/GPU SSD, RAM, transceivers, etc) as well as associated software and licenses.


• Conduct market research to advise on the infrastructure investment, purchase model, and relevant technologies to improve the performance, efficiency and the total cost of ownership based on the company’s business strategy


• Adopt industrial standards and best practices; drive and govern related frameworks, SOPs and templates/checklists within the Infra team to optimize the organization’s IT operations process.


• Work with internal technical teams and external vendors on the Proof-of-Concept (POC) test and assist on the qualification process and requirement validation.


• Lead the qualification, evaluation, selection, negotiation processes on commercial aspects.


• Work with other stakeholders on delivery of service and post-sales support improvements.


• Bachelor’s degree or higher in IT or engineering, or other relevant fields


• Minimum 10 years of relevant full-time experience in compute and storage domain


• Strong understanding of components, system constructs, high-level architecture, and use cases within Internet companies.


• Market landscape knowledge is preferred


• Proven working experience in the procurement capacity is an added advantage


• Aptitude in working with numbers
