As a Strategy & Commercial Specialist with focus on Connectivity, you will help shape and deliver the Group’s connectivity strategy across international, domestic, and cross-border solutioning in the Infrastructure team. You will work with relevant stakeholders to develop connectivity plans that address current requirements and support longer-term business needs. You will play a key role in developing and executing connectivity strategies that balance network resilience, scalability, service quality, and sustainable commercial outcomes.
- Assist in planning, developing and implementing comprehensive IT infrastructure strategies tailored to the business needs and prospects, with a focus on Connectivity services, including but not limited to telecommunication solutions such as International Private Lines, Dark Fibre, Leased Lines and IP Transit services.
- Act as the Subject Matter Expert (i.e. in a team and individual) on the solution qualification, evaluation, selection, negotiation processes and contribute from various commercial aspects.
- Responsible for identifying connectivity trends and technology trends that could be game-changers for IT infrastructure.
- Responsible for developing, and maintaining good partnerships with telecommunication and technology partners to conceptualize new services and solutions in view of market trends.
- Adopt industrial standards and best practices; drive and govern related frameworks, SOPs and templates/checklists within the Infrastructure team to optimize the organization’s IT operations process.
- Partner closely with cross-functional teams (e.g. Technical Project Management, Network Engineering, Specialists, Operations, Procurement, Legal, Finance, etc) in order to execute infrastructure’s selection strategy and contracts.
- Work with other stakeholders on improvements to service delivery, quality, and identify enhancement opportunities such as streamlined processes and standardizations.
- Support on operational matters from a commercial aspect, such as invoice verification, dispute resolution and payment processing.
- Bachelor's degree in any field, preferably in Information Systems, Computer Science, Technology or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years working experience as Product Manager in Telecommunications industry or relevant connectivity sourcing experience working at a large network operator, OTT, or Internet Service Provider.
- Possess good working knowledge on long haul systems (e.g. submarine cables), metro networks, optical communication networks and use cases in Internet companies.
- Good working knowledge and experience with Internet backbone planning, IX (Internet Exchange), transit, and peering ecosystems.
- Resourceful and has good market knowledge of networks (and infrastructure) providers
- Demonstrate strong business acumen in driving infrastructure goals and initiatives, shaping strategic business plans, and managing service-driven TCO, including budgeting and forecasting from a commercial perspective.
- Possess experience in developing and communicating strategic plans with stakeholders of all levels (both technical and non-technical), understands market and technology trends in the IT Infrastructure space.
- Strong team player, able to work well across teams and organizations.
