Job summary

Buttonscarves is seeking a procurement professional in Jakarta to translate production plans into purchase requests and manage material delivery schedules. You will coordinate with production and PPIC, source suppliers for inks, chemicals, and trims, and ensure quality and timely delivery.

The role requires a minimum Bachelor’s degree, strong English, and proven skills in negotiation, cost analysis, and vendor evaluation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in any related field.
• English proficiency, both written and verbal.
• Knowledge of textile and printing raw materials, fabric construction, ink/chemical types, trims, and specs.
• Strong negotiation, cost analysis, and vendor evaluation skills.
• End-to-end procurement process and compliance controls (PR/PO, quotes, approvals).
• ERP or procurement systems experience and advanced spend tracking.
• Strong cross-functional coordination with PPIC, production, QC, warehouse, and finance.
• High integrity and discipline in vendor relationships and pricing confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Translate production plans and material forecasts into purchase requests and delivery schedules.
• Handle urgent material requests without bypassing approval controls.
• Coordinate with PPIC, warehouse, and production on material readiness and delivery.
• Source, qualify, and evaluate ink, chemicals, and trim suppliers against quality and delivery.
• Maintain dual sourcing for critical materials to reduce single-supplier risk.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and conditions for raw materials.
• Benchmark material prices and advise on cost exposure and timing.
• Coordinate material sample approvals with design before bulk orders.
• Work with QC and warehouse on inspection, rejection, returns, and claims.
• Report purchasing performance and cost trends to management.
