SECOM Indonesia is expanding its SCM initiative under Marketing, identifying product opportunities and leading supplier negotiations. You will support Sales with viable solutions while Procurement handles purchasing execution.
The role requires strong English and Bahasa Indonesia, proven negotiation skills, and a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, with at least 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing or supplier development.
This position is part of SECOM Indonesia’s new Supply Chain Management (SCM) initiative under Marketing. You will identify product and supply opportunities, lead commercial relationships and negotiations with existing and new partners, and support Sales with viable solutions. Sales Engineering and Technical own technical validation; Procurement owns purchasing execution.
Research customer needs, market trends, competitors, technologies, and supplier roadmaps to recommend new or improved product and solution opportunities.
Identify, evaluate, and develop local and international suppliers or partners. Prepare initial product comparisons and commercial business cases for review with Sales, Sales Engineering, and Technical.
Obtain and validate official quotations; lead negotiations on pricing, payment terms, lead time, warranty, service levels, and other commercial conditions.
Compare total cost, margin potential, supplier capability, and supply risks; recommend sourcing decisions and alternative supply channels.
Manage strategic supplier relationships and performance reviews, including existing partners. Hand over approved sourcing recommendations to Procurement for onboarding and purchasing.
Strong spoken and written English, with the confidence to conduct live commercial discussions and negotiations with international partners. Fluent Bahasa Indonesia is also required.
Proven negotiation skills, supported by examples of commercial terms or supplier outcomes you personally improved.
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Marketing, Commerce, or another relevant field.
At least 5 years of relevant experience in strategic sourcing, supplier development, commercial partnerships, or related work, with experience independently leading negotiations and cross-functional projects at Supervisor level or equivalent.
Strong market research, commercial analysis, communication, and stakeholder management skills; a proactive, sales-oriented mindset.
Ability to learn technical products and systems quickly. Experience in B2B technical solutions is an advantage. Product/system and import training will be provided during onboarding.
High integrity, strong ownership, proactive working style, and professional judgment.
Final grade may be adjusted based on the selected candidate’s experience.
