Job summary

PT Peoplyee Tech Indonesia seeks a Purchasing Assistant Manager in Batam to lead the Purchasing Department, develop strategic procurement plans, and ensure timely material availability. You will manage supplier sourcing, negotiations, budgeting, and compliance, while coaching the team and driving cost-saving initiatives across manufacturing operations.

English business proficiency required; Mandarin preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management.
• Business-level English; Mandarin preferred.
• 7–10 years in purchasing/procurement in manufacturing.
• At least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Experience with ERP, MRP, and SAP systems.
• Experience in inventory management, data analysis, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Purchasing Department to ensure procurement efficiency.
• Develop and implement strategic procurement plans.
• Source, evaluate, select, and negotiate with suppliers.
• Build strong relationships with key suppliers.
• Coordinate with Production and Warehouse to ensure material availability.
• Manage the purchasing budget and implement cost-saving initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulations.
• Analyse procurement performance and prepare management reports.
• Lead, coach, and develop the purchasing team.
• Monitor supplier performance and mitigate supply risks.
