Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum D3 or S1 education in Management, Business, Marketing, Maritime, Shipping, Logistics, or related fields.
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in Business Development, Sales, Commercial, Shipping, Chartering, Logistics, Freight Forwarding, or related industries.
• Good understanding of shipping business and maritime industry.
• Ability to identify new customers and close business.
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Network in shipping, maritime, logistics, mining, or industrial sector is an advantage.
• Target, revenue, and business achievement oriented.
• Willing to travel for meetings and business development purposes.
• Able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities in shipping, maritime, logistics, and related sectors
• Conduct prospecting and lead generation to acquire new potential customers
• Build and maintain good relationships with ship owners, charterers, cargo owners, mining companies, freight forwarders, logistics companies, ship agents, and other business partners
• Develop and implement Business Development strategy to achieve company targets
• Conduct market research to identify business opportunities, potential customers, new projects, and market developments
• Prepare proposals, quotations, commercial offers, and business presentations
• Negotiate with prospective customers and business partners
• Manage sales pipeline and conduct follow-up until closing process
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure customer needs are met effectively
• Monitor market developments, competitors, pricing/freight rates, and shipping industry trends
