Job summary

Grab is seeking a strategic Category Lead for its GrabMart Jakarta team. You will drive category performance, lead a high-performing group, and collaborate with marketing, operations, and finance to execute initiatives that boost growth and profitability.

You will analyze trends, manage budgets, and build strong relationships with vendors to optimize assortment and shelf space while delivering measurable results for senior leadership.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in category management, product management, or related roles.
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills with proficiency in performance metrics and KPIs.
• Experience with strategic planning and execution in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated expertise in market analysis and competitive positioning.
• Solid understanding of supply chain and inventory management principles.
• Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
• Proficiency in budget management and P&L responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive category strategies that align with organizational objectives and market opportunities.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering professional growth and accountability.
• Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and consumer insights to identify growth opportunities and optimize category positioning.
• Manage category performance metrics, conduct regular reviews, and implement data-driven improvements to achieve targets.

• Oversee budget allocation and resource management to maximize return on investment and operational efficiency.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, vendors, and partners to support category objectives.
• Drive innovation and process improvements to enhance category competitiveness and profitability.
• Monitor inventory levels, product mix, and assortment to optimize shelf space and customer satisfaction.
• Prepare regular reports and presentations on category performance for senior leadership.
