Job summary

Grab is seeking a strategic Category Lead to drive performance and growth for a Jakarta-based category. You will lead a talented team, own strategy, and collaborate with cross-functional partners to execute initiatives that enhance profitability and market share.

You will report to the Manager and play a key role in shaping category strategy, mitigating risks, and driving operational excellence across GrabMart Kilat's fast-moving assortment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive category strategies aligned with company goals.
• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing category team.
• Analyze market trends, competition, and consumer insights to spot growth opportunities.
• Manage category performance metrics, review results, and drive data-driven improvements.
• Collaborate with marketing, operations, and finance for seamless execution of initiatives.
• Oversee budget allocation and resource use to maximize ROI and efficiency.
• Build strong relationships with vendors, partners, and internal stakeholders.
• Drive innovation and process improvements to boost competitiveness and profitability.
• Monitor product mix and shelf space to optimize availability and customer satisfaction.
• Prepare regular category performance reports for senior leadership.

We're looking for a strategic Category Lead to join our organization in Jakarta, Indonesia. In this role, you will drive the performance and growth of your assigned category while leading a talented team to deliver. You'll be part of a dynamic team that beliefs in ownership, positivity, and growth. You will report to the Manager.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• Develop and execute comprehensive category strategies that align with organizational objectives and market opportunities
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering professional growth and accountability
• Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and consumer insights to identify growth opportunities and optimize category positioning
• Manage category performance metrics, conduct regular reviews, and implement data-driven improvements to achieve targets
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including marketing, operations, and finance to ensure seamless execution of category initiatives
• Oversee budget allocation and resource management to maximize return on investment and operational efficiency
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, vendors, and partners to support category objectives
• Drive innovation and process improvements to enhance category competitiveness and profitability
• Monitor inventory levels, product mix, and assortment to optimize shelf space and customer satisfaction
• Prepare regular reports and presentations on category performance for senior leadership
