Job summary

Private Company is seeking an experienced E&I Project Supervisor to oversee day-to-day electrical and instrumentation activities at the site. You will ensure installations meet specifications, review technical documents, and guide contractors through field execution.

Responsibilities include coordinating with other disciplines, monitoring progress against schedules, and supporting testing, commissioning, and safety programs. Strong leadership and Excel reporting skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Electrical & Instrumentation project supervision in industrial environments.
• Strong experience supervising E&I installation and field execution activities.
• Proficient in reading Electrical & Instrumentation technical drawings.
• Good understanding of project scheduling and S-Curve for progress monitoring.
• Proven leadership and contractor management skills.
• Strong communication and cross-functional coordination abilities.

Job description

• Supervise and monitor day-to-day Electrical & Instrumentation project activities at site.
• Ensure E&I installation and construction activities are executed in accordance with approved technical specifications, drawings, Method Statements, and project requirements.
• Review technical documents and provide field direction to contractors and subcontractors prior to and during project execution.
• Monitor the quality of E&I installation work and ensure compliance with project standards.

Technical & Field Coordination

• Read and interpret Electrical and Instrumentation drawings, including relevant layouts, wiring diagrams, and other technical documentation.
• Coordinate E&I activities with other disciplines to ensure proper integration and minimize work conflicts at site.
• Identify technical issues and field discrepancies and coordinate appropriate solutions with relevant stakeholders.
• Support testing, inspection, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities as required.

Project Progress Control

• Monitor E&I project progress against the approved project schedule and S-Curve.
• Identify delays, work constraints, and deviations from the planned progress.
• Coordinate corrective actions with contractors and relevant project teams to ensure project milestones are achieved.
• Provide regular updates regarding project progress, issues, and completion status.
• Lead and provide clear direction to contractors and subcontractors involved in E&I activities.
• Monitor contractor performance, productivity, work quality, and adherence to project requirements.
• Ensure field activities are carried out in a disciplined, effective, and safe manner.

Safety Leadership

• Ensure Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and applicable safety procedures are properly implemented before and during work execution.
• Identify and report Unsafe Acts and Unsafe Conditions and ensure appropriate corrective actions are taken.
• Promote a strong safety culture among contractors and project teams.

Coordination & Reporting

• Coordinate daily work activities with Production, Maintenance, and other relevant departments, particularly for work carried out in operational areas.
• Prepare accurate and systematic daily/weekly project progress reports.
• Maintain project documentation and progress records using Microsoft Excel.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Electrical & Instrumentation project supervision, preferably within an industrial, manufacturing, chemical, petrochemical, or plant environment.
• Strong experience in supervising E&I installation and field execution activities.
• Strong understanding of Electrical and Instrumentation systems and installations.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting Electrical & Instrumentation technical drawings.
• Good understanding of project scheduling and S-Curve for progress monitoring.
• Good understanding of JSA and workplace safety requirements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel for project reporting and documentation.
• Strong leadership and contractor management skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills with cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve field issues.
