Four Seasons Hotel Jakarta is seeking a Sous Chef - Bakery to support the Executive Pastry Chef in leading the bakery operation, ensuring top quality, consistency, and guest satisfaction. About the Role

As a Sous Chef - Bakery, you will support the Executive Pastry Chef in leading the bakery operation, ensuring the highest standards of quality, consistency, creativity, and guest satisfaction. You will play a key role in developing exceptional baked products while fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous learning in line with Four Seasons service standards.

What You Will Do

• Assist in overseeing the daily operations of the bakery kitchen.
• Ensure all bakery products are prepared and presented to the highest quality and food safety standards.
• Support menu development and the creation of innovative bakery offerings.
• Supervise, train, and mentor team members to enhance performance and professional growth.
• Monitor inventory levels, food costs, and purchasing requirements to maintain operational efficiency.
• Maintain compliance with hygiene, health, and safety regulations at all times.
• Collaborate closely with culinary and service teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
• Uphold the Four Seasons culture of service excellence and the Golden Rule in every interaction.

What You Bring

• Proven experience in a supervisory bakery or pastry role within a luxury hotel, resort, or high-end bakery operation.
• Strong technical expertise in artisan breads, viennoiserie, pastries, and bakery production techniques.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team-development skills.
• A passion for creativity, craftsmanship, and continuous improvement.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Solid understanding of food safety, sanitation, and quality control standards.
