Job summary

RBA Custom Bearing in Jakarta is seeking a Sales Engineer to bridge customers and engineering teams, identifying needs, presenting technical solutions, and supporting tender documentation.

You will conduct product demonstrations and POC sessions, translate business challenges into technical requirements, and travel for customer meetings as needed. English proficiency is required; local languages are a plus.

Qualifications

• 2–5+ years of experience in a Sales Engineer, Pre-Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or similar technical customer-facing role.
• Strong understanding of technical products, systems, or solutions relevant to the industry.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Experience preparing technical proposals, solution documentation, and tender responses.
• Ability to conduct product demonstrations and proof-of-concept implementations.
• Willingness to travel for customer meetings, site visits, and industry events when required.
• Good command of written and spoken English (additional languages are a plus).

Responsibilities

• Partner with the sales team to identify customer needs and propose appropriate technical solutions.
• Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept (POC) sessions for prospective customers.
• Understand customer business challenges and translate them into technical requirements.
• Prepare technical proposals, solution designs, quotations, and tender documentation.
• Support customer meetings, site visits, and technical workshops.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers
