Job summary

Rintisan invites a Software Quality Assurance (QA) contractor based in Jakarta to join our engineering team. You will design, develop and execute test plans, run manual and automated tests, and report defects to maintain product quality across our platform.

Collaborating with developers and product managers, you will verify fixes, perform regression testing, and help improve QA processes while ensuring alignment with our agile development approach and high standards for reliability.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in software quality assurance and testing within an IT environment.
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, tools and QA best practices.
• Proficiency with test automation frameworks and tools such as Selenium, JIRA.
• Attention to detail with the ability to identify complex issues and edge cases.
• Understanding of SDLC and QA processes.
• Experience with manual and automated testing approaches.
• Strong communication to document and report findings.
• Ability to work in a collaborative team with developers and product managers.
• Problem-solving mindset and analytical thinking.
• Experience with performance/load testing is preferred.
• Knowledge of API and web service testing is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development.

We are expanding our engineering team to build scalable systems and integrate AI-driven features across our platforms.

About the role

As a Software Quality Assurance (QA), you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of software quality across our technology platform. This is a contract position that plays a vital role in maintaining product excellence and user satisfaction. You will be based in Jakarta and will work collaboratively with development teams to identify, document, and resolve defects before they reach production environments.

Key Responsibilities

Designing, developing and executing comprehensive test plans and test cases for software applications

Conducting manual and automated testing across various platforms and devices to identify bugs, defects and inconsistencies

What we're looking for

Proven experience in software quality assurance and testing within an Information Technology environment

Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, tools and best practices in quality assurance

Proficiency with test automation frameworks and tools such as Selenium, JIRA or similar QA platforms

Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify complex issues and edge cases

Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and quality assurance processes

Experience with both manual and automated testing approaches

Solid communication skills with the ability to clearly document and report findings

Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment with developers and product managers

Problem-solving mindset and analytical thinking capabilities

Experience with performance and load testing is preferred

Knowledge of API testing and web service testing is advantageous

Familiarity with Agile or Scrum development methodologies is desirable
