Job summary

PT ABISHAR TECHNOLOGIES INDONESIA is seeking a Software QA Engineer in Jakarta to design, develop and execute comprehensive test plans for our software applications and systems. You will perform functional, regression, integration and user acceptance testing, document defects with clear reproduction steps, and collaborate with development teams to clarify requirements.

You will contribute to test automation efforts using Cypress or Playwright, write automated scripts, maintain detailed test

Qualifications

• Experience in software quality assurance and testing.
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies and defect management.
• Experience with test automation tools like Selenium or UFT.
• Proficient in manual testing techniques including functional, regression and UAT.
• Familiarity with Jira, Azure DevOps or similar defect tracking tools.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and good communication in English and Indonesian.
• ISTQB or similar certifications preferred but not required.

Job description

Design, develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for software applications and systems

Conduct functional, regression, integration and user acceptance testing to identify and document defects and quality issues

Experience with Cypres/Playwright automation

Perform manual and automated testing using industry-standard tools and frameworks

Document and track defects using defect management systems, providing clear descriptions and reproducible steps

Verify bug fixes and ensure resolution meets quality standards and requirements

Collaborate with development teams, product managers and stakeholders to understand requirements and clarify test scenarios

Participate in test automation initiatives and contribute to the development of automated test scripts

Maintain detailed test documentation, test reports and quality metrics

Perform performance and load testing when required

Identify process improvements and recommend enhancements to testing methodologies

What we're looking for

Proven experience in software quality assurance and testing, with a minimum of 2-3 years in a similar role

Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, test case design and defect management processes

Experience with test automation tools and frameworks (such as Selenium, UFT, or similar)

Proficiency in manual testing techniques including functional, regression and user acceptance testing

Familiarity with defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps or similar platforms

Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Indonesian

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge of database concepts and basic SQL is advantageous

Relevant certifications such as ISTQB or similar are preferred but not essential

Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to quality assurance
